Washington Post Column on Longer School Year

Just happened across this column in the Washington Post about a longer year calendar very similar to the one in effect for Sale and Stokes-Beard for next year. The author has children in a school with what sounds like an almost identical 11-month calendar. She gives her first-hand account of how it works.
