  2. It is such great news!!!
The grant is targeted for the 9th grade Freshman Academy teachers and students. Here is a part of the press release I sent in from the grant's executive summary.

Project Tech4Teens will bring innovative teaching strategies and 21st Century technologies to assist Freshman Academy students take ownership of learning and leading and to engage them in the learning process. In addition, this project will equip students with the skills they will need to be successful in high school and into college.
Project Tech4Teens will place the power of wireless computing with the Promethean ActivClassroom System in the ninth grade classrooms to engage students with interactive instruction and increase student achievement. The heart of the project will also be the implementation of a one-to-one (1:1) learning environment in order for students and teachers to have constant and immediate access to technology and the digital world. Project Tech4Teens unifies quality teaching, high expectations for students, a challenging curriculum, differentiated learning experiences, and high student achievement. The project’s technology integration plan uses advanced technology to immerse teachers and students in a collaborative learning environment.
